MAINTENANCE TIPS
These tips are provided to help the mechanic identify particulars for the MR.RPM Conversions. (They may also apply to other aircraft as well)

1) Other than the engine itself, the exhaust system and brakes are the hardest worked components of the aircraft. They all require regular attention to keep the aircraft airworthy. On the exhaust, keep a weather eye out for the tell-tale signs of a pending failure. Bulges, blisters, and any abnormal distortion are cause for removal, bead blasting and close inspection. Common areas of bulging and blistering occur anywhere the exhaust changes direction, usually on the back side  of the cylinder exit duct, or either end of the waste-gate butterfly valve, but they can occur anywhere. Tiny stress cracks and "sagging" of the material near the welds (usually near the flanges) are are indications the parts should be replaced.  Do not be afraid to use a 10x magnifying glass. Long term errosion is another concern and is indicated by "Thinning" and "Pitting". When in doubt, send to an experienced exhaust shop. After all, You usually can't beat a guy at what he does for a living.
RPM Commander uses exotic metals, special fixtures, and proven sequential welding techniques to provide parts that will last their longest and give the operator the best bang for the buck.  Ask if your exhaust meets the latest drawing revision.
